The StretchWorks Story – sharing the joy of movement

StretchWorks was born from one person’s burning desire to reconnect with and share the joy of movement. Ken was staring down the barrel of becoming 60, he’d spent his previous 35 years as a corporate warrior: travelling, conferences, sitting behind desks and dealing with the stresses and strains of running his own business and maintaining a busy family. He’d progressively lost connection with the things he used to love and that gave him energy and meaning – riding, swimming, hiking and adventure through travel. He’d tried assisted stretching a long time ago and wanted to find a service in Bayside but there was nothing around so with his son, Jonathan, they created StretchWorks!

We are Bayside residents and wanted to offer a 5 star service to our customers and provide them with life-enhancing or even life-changing outcomes through our knowledge, care and our beautiful studio space. Judging by the feedback we’ve had, we think we’ve given it a good crack so far and are always looking to take things to the next level. StretchWorks opened our doors in Dec 23 (originally operating as StretchLab Black Rock) – the first studio of its type in Victoria. Whilst the concept was brand new to people and took some explaining, it was very well received. Two years on, we saw opportunities to offer better outcomes for clients outside the StretchLab brand hence the rebrand to StretchWorks and a top to bottom revamp of the offerings to offer more value, more flexibility and a more seamless experience.

I came here out of curiosity and a pair of sore knees due to an injury a while ago. Some expert assisted stretching and my mobility has improved no end. I am 16 months into two surgeries and on going difficulty walking   3 surgeons and no answers

Yesterday after only a few treatments we had a huge breakthrough.  Finally my therapist at StretchWorks Black Rock identified my imbalance and we got straight on to it.
Strategically and slowly It almost brought me to tears. I can truthfully attest that the educated and unique standards of each therapist is to be celebrated.
I finally can start repairing . Just being able to walk and move and know I finally have a safe way forward
